Catalogue editions
The present edition is the 2006 update of the catalogue and ensues
from the 1974, 1978, 1981, 1991, 1997 and 2000 editions.

Catalogue organization
The strains are presented in alphabetical order of genus
and species names. For each strain, the following information appears :
Name of species authors
CFBP number type or pathotype strain, Year of isolation,
Host of isolation, Country of isolation, Isolated by,
Other collection accession numbers, race, remarks.
The names between quotation marks (e.g.
Pseudomonas cerasi are non validated species names.
If two strains are indicated as type or pathotype strains,
it is because they come from two different sources.
You can find at the end of the catalogue :
- an index by CFBP accession number
- an index by host plant
Nomenclature
The nomenclature used is in agreement with :
- For genus, species and sub-species names
- For pathovars names
- the list published in International
Standards for Naming Pathovars
(Dye et al., 1980)
- the list of approved and published names maintained by the ISPP
(International Society of
Plant Pathology, Subcommittee
on Taxonomy of Plant Pathogenic
Bacteria)
